Elder Boynton, Elder Smith, and President Lundberg show our best tool!

We had to say good-bye to Sora Vasileva in Moldova. Her visa would not allow her to return to Romania at the end of her mission. She returned to her home in Ukraine and continued to do missionary work there.

A great shot of Bucharest from the mission office.

Another shot out of Bucharest from the 7th floor mission office. There are people in all those apartments waiting for the gospel.

Just June---2010!

Sora Gogu, Sora Karina, and Elder Veenendaal eat treats and visit with me while waiting for their interviews with President Lundberg.

Elder Vandermark and Elder Lyon brought me flowers! They smelled wonderful. What sweet elders!

The group passing through that day for interviews included Sora Karina, Elder Oberhansly, Elder Veenendaal, Elder Smith, Elder Vandermark, Elder Boynton, and Elder Lyon.

The girls "doing lunch" during zone conference.

Elder Sanchez, Elder Bernier, Elder Schwartz, Elder Johnson, and Elder Boynton---also doing lunch!

Zone leaders, Elder Garrett and Elder Ritz, along with President Lundberg rest easier once their presentations are done.

Elder Herman, Elder Linerud, Elder Betteridge, Sora Larsen, Elder Bernier, Elder Harley, and Elder Ritz say their good-byes at the end of zone conference.

Elder Gauthier, Elder Johnson, Sora Slaeman, and Sora Humphries, wait for the afternoon session to begin.

June birthdays at this zone conference include: Elder Vogelsberg, Sora Hardy, Elder Rasmussen, Sora Kiriyama, Elder Schwartz, and President Lundberg. They each received a key-ring flashlight and a candy bar, as well as beautiful singing of "La Mulţi Ani" by the missionaries.

It's always fun to meet with close friends. Sora Hupp, Sora Hardy, and Sora Linerud are glad to see each other.

I'm not sure if this group of missionaries color-coordinated their outfits or what!
However, they seemed dressed for a Kodak moment!
Elder Schafer, Elder Sanchez, Elder Schwartz, Sora Holman, Elder Jensen, Elder Herman, and Sora Humphries.

Elder Gauthier has a "bright idea" at the tip of his fingers. Elder Garrett looks on!

Thank goodness for those wonderful office elders. They are always bringing mail, packages, and supplies to the missionaries. Elder Harvey and Elder Gunter are always willing to help!

How many times can two missionaries pack and unpack this van? We lost count long ago. Elder Boynton and Elder Smith travel with President Lundberg on road trips and the van is loaded with boxes of Books of Mormon, manuals, water filters, etc. that need to get to the missionaries.

Elder Marks, Elder Mathis, and Elder Wirthlin get caught up while munching on carrots!
The Lamoreauxs live far away in Cluj, and we don't see them very often. It was fun for Sora Turner and me to get to visit with them at zone conference lunch.

Sisters again---and Elder Dummar!
Sora B. Hansen, Sora Gogu, Sora Pickett, Sora Karina, Sora Dummar, Elder Dummar, Sora S. Hansen, Sora Olsen, and Sora Holden!

Blondes have lots of fun!
Sora Pickett and Sora S. Hansen enjoy time together.

Miracle Update for end of June!

For those of you interested in our miracle update, we had 19 baptisms for the month of June, 2010. That puts our total at 66 baptisms for the year. We are grateful that the Lord is blessing us here and helping us to find people who are prepared to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ.

As missionaries, we are all grateful for the knowledge we have that the true church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. We love the gospel with all our hearts, and we are grateful each time we are able to share our feelings with others. It is our daily prayer that we can find those children of God who are ready to know of God's plan for them.

Thank you for your faith and prayers on behalf of the missionaries and the people of Romania. Please continue with them---they are working!

Jeppsens Come to Romania!

We love it when our children have come to see us. Some have brought babies that we wouldn't otherwise see for three years. In June, our daughter, Kirsti, her husband, Paul, and their three children came to see us for 9 days. It was great to see them again. Thanks, Jeppsens! The Jeppsens joined us in whatever mission work needed doing. We drove to Constanta one day where President Lundberg interviewed the missionaries. We attended church there the next day. This was lunch at the local McDonald's.
It was so fun to be waiting at the airport when the doors slid opened and out walked this great family. It was so fun to see them again.

These four men did not come with the Jeppsens, but we saw them that first morning in Constanta, sitting there together. It is a great Romanian photo! I love their hats.

This was our first time to meet Annika Joy Jeppsen. She arrived in Romania on her first birthday.

Annika, meet Grandma!

During interviews, the kids went out back of the vila with one of the members there. These was a lot of "stuff" there and the kids had a great time creating.

We waited until most of the crowds had left and we went down and the kids were able to play in the Black Sea while President Lundberg answered emails in the hotel.

Bridge of the way to Constanta.

Marlee was mostly excited about coming to Romania because the park near our home had bungee jumping

Barrett was a pro at it, also.

Annie was content to do the swings.

Parks are sure fun in Romania!

We made a day trip to Castle Peleş. Grandpa Scott stayed outside with Annika.

There was fun at every turn. Joshua enjoyed having kids around for a change.

We've never been in a telephone booth in America!
Or seen horses and wagons on the sidewalk.

We visited a fun sight on the way home.

We attended the Mormone Spectacol, and saw some great talent performed by the Bucharest District.

The days went by too quickly! It was great to have you here, Jeppsens.
