Elder Holt and Elder Hirt, new Russian-speaking elders, arrive from the MTC. Their service rotates between Moldova, then Ukraine. They serve two transfers in each area. We were thrilled to have them arrive!

Gabi, an investigator (now member) in the gray sweater, came over for dinner. When we found it was his birthday that day, we put a huge candle in some banana bread. Elder Allphin and Elder Frandsen , along with Irene, a Bridge of Love volunteer who stopped in on her way to Barlad, watched the excitement!

Dina Cojacaru is a member of the church and one of the official translators for the church. I have the privilege of being her visiting teacher as well. She is posing here with her granddaughter, Delia.

Sora Geta, Sora VanOrman (senior missionary), and Gabi Petisor are all members who attend the Panduri Branch in Bucharest.

President Lundberg loves corndogs---especially since coming to Romania where you can't get them. So, it was a special occasion when the assistants and office elders brought over some corn dogs for him. Thanks, elders.

A perfect picture! Missionaries brave the horribly cold temperatures, frostbitten finger, toes, and noses, and yet march forward to share the gospel. The reason is easy---read for yourself on the shelf above them. "Faith!" Sacrifices are made daily by the missionaires because of their unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel.

Great young men!

Missionary work is serious!

Missionary work is joyful!

Sora Gaughran, Sora Smith, Sora Gibson, and Sora Staley visit and snack while waiting for their interviews.

The weather was cold but the feeling was warm as we all assembled at Chismigiu Park for the reading of the Dedicatory Prayer for the land of Romania. February 9, 2010 marked 20 years from the day that Elder Russell M. Nelson dedicated the land of Romania for missionary work.

Elder and Sora Linerud bundled up for the 20 year celebration.

So did we! I am SOOO grateful for warm coats!

Many of the Bucharest members also gathered with us on the stone hill in Chismigiu Park where the Dedicatory Prayer was first offered.

President Doru, District President from Bucharest, innitiated this and other great events in honor of the 20 year anniversary. Joshua looks on from behind.

We can't give you an accurate photo of how much snow we felt we had during the winter months. However, I think many places had the same thing last winter, so you probably already know.

Sora Richards, Sora Gibbons, and Sora Owen visit after zone conference.
